Privacy
Your information, plainly
Written to be read, not to protect us from you. This site collects as little as possible.
What we collect, and why
- Contact form: your name, email address and message — used only to reply to you. Sent to our office mailbox; not added to any list.
- Newsletter: your email address, stored with the date and your consent, only if you tick the consent box. Used only to send the updates you asked for.
- The epilepsy assistant: your questions are answered from information on this site. Questions are not stored with any information identifying you.
What we do not do
- No advertising trackers, no third-party analytics scripts, no social media pixels.
- We never sell, rent or share your details with anyone.
- We do not collect health information through this website — and please do not send confidential medical details through the contact form.
Your rights under POPIA
Under the Protection of Personal Information Act you may ask us at any time what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — including unsubscribing from the newsletter. Write to info@epilepsy.org.za and we will act on it.
Storage
Newsletter addresses are stored on our own server in South Africa, outside the public web directory, accessible only to the organisation. When we adopt a mailing provider, this page will be updated to name it before any addresses are transferred.
